Woodworking in America and a few new tools

Woodworking in America was, yet again, a great show. I had a wonderful time meeting several new toolmakers, and talking to some of the folks I had already met.

I picked up a few tools this year, and did a few video reviews. (Poor quality video, but then, I am no filmmaker, nor am I much for speaking)

For anyone looking to add some tools to their toolbox, I highly recommend Nice Ash Planes, Ravens Edge Toolworks, Daed Toolworks, Tools for Working Wood, Bad Axe Saws, Lie Neilsen and Hock blades. There are more toolmakers out there that I would love to talk about, but will have to wait for another post to do so.

I also want to thank Robin Lee for the planemakers dinner tickets. I wasn’t able to stick around for the whole dinner, but it was great getting to talk to a few more toolmakers and attendees over dinner.

On a different note, if you are looking for engraving or small parts cutouts, I wholeheartedly urge you to call Epilog. Fantastic folks based in the USA, making small business possible for a lot of folks. I may never have the desire for a laser machine myself, but they have a great company and a rock solid laser machine.
