I have made several of these in varying sizes for customers, and offer a smaller pre-built bench-top twin screw vise.

This latest is the largest I have made for a customer. After everything was said and done, and I was packing it up to ship it out, I realized that there is a definite advantage to having one of these over individual nut blocks and screws.

Depth.

Thats right, depth. With my standard 18″ screws, you get a clamping depth of over 9 inches, after adding a 2″ front jaw. Over 9″!

Add to that the width between screws is over 24″, the thickness of the nut eliminates the need for a clamping strip, and you can see why I have decided to add this to my line of products.
